Allow me to introduce myself

“I tap into a lifetime of painting experience along with inspiration from other miniature artists. The kind and generous nature of most miniature artists makes this such a fun world to practice artistic skills, learn new things, and to collect works of art that will be cherished for years to come.”

I was born in 1949 in Chicago, Illinois, and started drawing my classmates in junior high. The challenge of capturing reality began for me. Pastel portraits filled summers between school years and soon I progressed into painting portraits after attending Smith College. My love for painting beautiful Colorado landscapes and blossomed, along with the joy of capturing the textures and reality in still life.

When I was raising my daughters, I met the world of miniatures at Norm’s Dollhouse in Centennial, CO. That went to the side until my granddaughters and I connected, and my love for miniatures rekindled. When I met Bobbie Johnson, my eyes opened to the art and detail of making life in miniature. We became fast friends.

In 2013, I started a new season of life going to miniature shows around the country after beginning a lovely friendship with Bobbie Johnson. Bobbie encouraged me to paint masterpieces in miniature, and many years of replicating and selling miniature masterpieces began.

I learned doll making from Jeanne Rullie, which allowed me to sculpt, paint, wig and clothe dolls to bring a mini person to life.
